Recently Melanoma Tas hosted melanoma forums in Hobart and Launceston to help Tasmanians understand more about the disease. Here our Founder and Chair Di introduces the forums and recounts her personal story of how Melanoma Tas came about.

At the forums we were honoured to engage clinicians and patients from Tasmania and the mainland to share their knowledge. If you couldn’t make it, catch up with these presentations:

Patron Peter Hodgman: melanoma in Tasmania
Professor David Whiteman: statistics and disease process
Dr Alex Chamberlain: early detection and management
Dr Andrew Haydon: new treatments
Nick and Charlise Muskett: patient perspective
Dr Jon Lane: psychological impact and coping
Speakers’ panel: Q&A discussion
